My
thanks go out to all of you who supported the Open Show on the 2nd
of June, which by all accounts, was a great success.
I also take this opportunity of thanking our Judge Pat de
Coning, our Steward, Peter Brits and especially our Sponsors
“VETS CHOICE” represented by Audrey Hauptfleish, who donated
such wonderful food prizes.
On
the note of Shows, you will see below that we have our Trophy Open
Show on the 16th November, and please remember that it is on the
SATURDAY AFTERNOON not on SUNDAY as usual.
The reason for this change is due to the fact that the
Provincial ‘BEST OF THE BEST” show is on the Sunday and the
committee of that show has kindly offer us the use of a Judge from
the U.K., Mr. Andrew Brace.
This is the first time our Club will have an overseas judge
and in light
of this, I ask you to support the show, join us and let’s
have a lot of fun.
We will have great prizes and many Trophies.
There
is another event, which I ask you to put in your diaries and
support.
We, as a committee, get asked many questions relating to
our breed.
You can now have these questions answered.
We are putting on a Breed Clinic on the 18th September,
commencing at 19h00 for 19h30. You are all welcome.
We will be showing a power point presentation, together
with a video on the Shar Pei, relating to our Breed Standard and
this should be very informative to all of you. A light finger
supper will be served from 19h00, during the 10 minute break, and
will still be available on completion of the presentation. A
booklet of reference notes will be given out and for all of this
there will be a minimal charge of R15.00.
We have booked the Committee room at Goldfields, Gilloolys
Farm, Boeing road West [which is next to the toilets] and we look
forward to seeing you all there.
That's
all from me.
I hope you will enjoy reading our Sharp A News.
Antoinette.
